Already lost some followers to my really interesting video of Benny drinking water so I expect this will lose me some too. Whatever.

I have never seen this before, but he seems chill…
He is very chill and likes to cuddle but he is also a major scaredy cat and runs for cover from thunderstorms and doorbells.

When I’ve had cats that drink from the faucet, some of them have used their paws. We feed raw to our cats now, so they don’t need/drink much water, so I can’t say for sure. I’ve seen the paw thing, but I don’t know why some cats do it.
He also drinks from the bathroom faucet which I know he learned from my mom’s cat Ewok when I lived there. She is a major princess and insists on drinking from the faucet when you are near one.

Our cats do this too — I hear it might be because they don’t want their whiskers getting in the way/touching the bowl?
Interesting. Maybe he has “sensitive whiskers” and gets brain freeze if they touch cold water. haha

My friend’s cat does that too lol. He also eats his food that way. he’ll paw it out then eat it.
Thankfully he doesn’t do this because I do not want to clean up that mess!

So does anyone else’s cat drink water this way? Maybe it tastes better when licked from his paw (highly doubtful since he also digs at his poop with it) or he doesn’t want to bend his head down that low? I dunno. Benny has been doing it a lot lately and I don’t know if I have just never noticed or if it’s a new habit of his.

Look at this card I got for Mother’s Day! On the inside it says “to be as fabulous as we are” but really I just wanted it because it has cats with glittery mud masks. obviously the best way to express all my *~feelingz~*

YOU GUYS! I’m browsing for small kitchen ideas and I come across this picture (on the right) and I actually did a double take. That cat is a freaky twin of my cat Benny (on left) down to the white marks on the nose and everything! What made it even weirder is that it’s from a kitchen for an apartment in Portland! My mission in life now is to find this other Portlander and have our doppelganger cats be best friends.
